The Petrona Award
has been established to celebrate the work of Maxine Clarke, one of
the first online crime fiction reviewers and bloggers, who died in
December 2012. Maxine, whose online persona and blog was called
Petrona, was passionate about translated crime fiction but in
particular that from the Scandinavian countries.
As well as supporting the Petrona Award the crime fiction community came together at Petrona Remembered to celebrate the books they loved best.
And Margot Kinburg's anthology, In a Word: Murder, has been published with all proceeds going to Maxine's charity of choice, the Princess Alice Hospice. As well as Margot, the contributors include Martin Edwards and Petrona Award judge, Sarah Ward.
It is now available on both Kindle and as a paperback.
